Warning to those in the Northwest.
« on: December 10, 2008, 13:51:57 »
Whilst I've been reading topics in this forum,a white van as appeared and two guys got out and came onto my property, went out to see what they were up to and they were taking a very close look at my Disco! When challenged what were they up to and what did they want? They said they were from the council and looking at house! Well that sent a red flag up straight away, this house isn't a council we own it! Told them so.. and asked them to leave the property.
Have been in touch with the local police with registration of the van and a description off the two guys, also rung the council who have confirmed that they do work for them, but they were at the wrong property and had no reason to be taking such a close interest in the Disco.
Will now be keeping a very close eye out in case the Disco goes walkies one night. Now that I now know who they are and what they look like. Hopefully they will leave my Disco alone but to those in the northwest be warned it could also be yours next!

Well what else could I do? Don't fancy taking on two guys and being knocked out and then they rob the house as well as the Disco! But if you read the post again then your'll see I did call the local police station and gave them the details, and also rang the council to find out why they were there, what more can you do?

I think you dealt with that very well. You could have not noticed, not bothered, tried to beat them up, got done for assault or just hoped someone else would do something, but you did the RIGHT THING!.

It makes you jittery for a while after though, only a few weeks ago we went to bed around midnight, though around ten minutes later had to go back downstairs, looked out of window, suppose force of habit and there was two scrotes in the back garden near the shed, in a nutshell chased them out and told them if they come back again I would break their legs  woke most of the close up that night with my shouting.

Called the police and they were around in about 3 minutes as someone else had reported something, have installed more lights now, the garden is lit up like Wembley now

Just makes my blood boil that scum are creeping around your property at night, thinking they can get away with the trouble they cause.

3 days around here to turn up for an assult but only 3 hours for a suspicious death to give them their due.
