Irontite ceramic sealer
« on: December 20, 2008, 18:17:48 »
Anyone any thoughts or used this product for sealing porous/cracked engine blocks? Looking to use it in a 3.9 with possable cracking around No 3 cylinder.  :( This is sold on ebay by a company called zenaxis item No 220252772076. (Sorry don't know how to put a link up).

Thanks

This stuff works

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Overheating-Pressurising-Cleans-Stops-Seals-Prevents_W0QQitemZ270312327943QQihZ017QQcategoryZ31349QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262

But I notice they now sell irontight too.

Give Phil a ring and ask his advice, tell him Andy sent you ;)

My P38 4.0 LPG multi-point has had irontite in it since 115,000. It's now done 133,000 and only once has it started to overheat at about 125,000. The gauge dropped back to normal after two or three minutes and it's been fine again since... :-$ :-$ :-$  It has to be worth a try when you consider the alternative.
Sometimes you buy with your heart instead of your head. In twelve months I've spent more on it than I paid for it !! Worth every penny?? Definately!!

The good thing with the "set" that Phil sells is it's 2 products in one.  you flulsh the system out first then add the cargo seal (antifreeze causes it to harden in the water) then once fixed you add new anti freeze and the second bottle of K-Seal which you leave in for good, if the fix starts to weep or hasn't been 100% then the K-Seal sorts it out, fit and forget.

Plus the bigger the hole the better it seesm to work, within reason.
