I've kept pretty detailed records on an Excel spreadsheet of the fuel consumption I've been getting from my 300Tdi since I bought it. There's no obvious sign - in terms of fuel consumption - of when I removed the EGR system or when I put it back on :-(What I can see quite clearly is deterioration in the air filter over time and a step improvement from the day it's changed. This is so pronounced I now use the mpg graph to decide when it needs changing :-)HTH

I'm self employed and back-charge my company for the business miles I do in the Discovery. HMRC like to see nice neat records at tax-time ;-)
