OK, silly question from a wet behind the ears newbie. Well two, no more questions really.
What is green laning exactly? How does it differ from off roading? Are these two pastimes designed to test the vehicle or the driver's skills or both? Are you best doing these sports over designated routes etc. Sorry to be a pain but someon's gotta ask the nerdish questions.  :D

Welcome o the house of mud!!

Greenlanes are essentially former roads and byways that in general are unsuitable for normal road cars. Some can be very demanding of your skill as a driver, some are not. There was a new act brought through parliament a few years back that made a lot of the lanes we drove illegal, and also made it a very complicated issue in some areas. Greenlaning IS NOT offroading!! It may just be language but it is important language if we are ever going to get people to change their perception of what we do.

Offroading is exactly that. You will be on private land with the owners permission, your insurance will not cover you if you crash or damage your vehicle and it is great fun. Many people have to resort to pay and play days to get this type of driving.

Hi Eugene, and thanks for clarifying that for me.
What bit I've done seems to be a mix of both I think. I suppose it's like everything, you need to educate the public. I am trying to educate some people about a different subject entirely and it's not easy when they have fixed or preconceived ideas about a  subject/topic.

Hi all, thanks very much for the kind welcomes and greetings.
Went off roading on Sunday and got very muddy but it was great fun and am looking forward to the next day. Went up to Langdale Quest. Got some good photos to add to our collection.

Does anybody know if there are any good off roading, 4 x 4 type games for the xbox 360 at all?

Thanks

Thanks, it is great fun getting muddy. Don't understand why more women don't want to.
Thanks for the info on the games as well. Just found another one that looks good but doesn't seem to have been released here yet, in the UK I mean so I'll be watching eagerly for it's release, mind you sometimes the games don't live up to the hype.

PS live in Derbyshire not far from Belper.
