Hello,

Saw this, thought of you

Joe Calzaghe gets a lesson in off-road driving from Tiff; Jonny checks out the new and improved Volkswagen Golf; Vicki puts the top down on the new Ferrari California; Tom reviews the safety of a popular family car; Tim puts the country's automated car washes to the test; and Tiff and Jason head to the track

Did anyone see their military vehicle one a few weeks ago? Included a Pinzgauer.

I'm slightly less worried about Tiff teaching someone to off road than I would be about Clarkson or Hamster doing the same. The latter two seem to confuse a heavy right foot with driving skill.

It'll be interesting to see hwhat they show....

Will it be, sideways action all the way, with no actual off road content, just sliding around on wet grass, or will they actually show what god vehicle control up and down hill is all about......
gone from 200tdi.... to 300tdi... still with loads done to it, in fact, even more than the last truck...LOL!!!

It was worse. Rally stage in a Bowler Nemesis. You could have taken a Mondeo around that route without breaking anything!

Is that a craq programme or what?
The 2 main presenters are full of themselves but don't seem to do a lot.
Tiff is Tiff,
and Vickie HB is phwoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar.

The Off road action was at Walters Arena, since the WRGB, but as has been said could have been done in any Rally car, it certainly didn't need the Bowler.

Don't think I will bother again.

Actually, I was surprised how little damage it did. Yes, the rear seat occupants would have been worse for wear (!), but I was expecting the people carrier to crumple a lot more than that. With all their build up to it, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as I expected.

The only good thing about the programme (apart from VBH ) was the Bowler noise (also ).

I was also surprised by that. I was expecting everything behind the rear wheels to disappear on impact.

What I would like to see is a repeat of the test but with a couple of extra vehicles in front of the Zafira, as I suspect the damage was reduced due to it being punted along. In a real motorway situation it would have hit the vehicles in front and would have suffered a lot more damage. Compare punching a cardboard box resting on a table to punching one resting against a wall.

yeh, i reckon in a real world situation, that zafira would have ended up about 3 ft long, and everyone would have died.....!!!

The nemesis location was indeed walters arena, it was before WRGB it was the wednesday before. Joe actually broke the wishbone on the car!
