landy mags?
« on: January 11, 2009, 08:27:31 »
as a new convert to landying and reader of total off road which of the specific mags is best? i know it depends on what floats my boat, and that would be rocks rather than mud, green lanes rather than pay 'n' play and for the time being restoration rather than modification.

I buy a few landy mags and TBH i don't know why i bother?

It's probably habit or hoping that their might be something interesting in them. The overland stuff is very interesting but that's about it.

You can get far more info etc. from mud club. That's my opinion anyway.

Save your money and spend it on your motor instead.

I occasionally go and have a glance through the mags when i go to sainsburys but i very rarely buy them unless i find a specific article i want.

If I was going to start buying one again it would be LRM.

I find they just have too much advertising in; I can handle the adverts but the articles nowadays are no more than big plugs for various companies.
I'm sure the contributors do well out of it but it doesn't make much of a read really

Hi, Have you tried asking on your local freecycle? I got lots of back issues from ours. And like others said, better to spend your money on your motor!
