That's a coincidence, I use exactly the same method for carrying my waffle boards and I hadn't seen yours when I was figuring it out!

Bought a spare set of crossbars for my roof rails on ebay, drilled them, fitted some M8 eyebolts, and use these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Plant-Trailer-etc-Flat-pin-snap-ring-chain-R0546_W0QQitemZ270303330752QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Trailers_Transporters_Parts?hash=item270303330752&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1301|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318 to hold the boards on with an M30 washer under each to help make sure it stays attached. Works very well so far. They rattle a bit but there's no way they will come off as four of those clips would need to be dislodged on each board, which could only happen with sustained negative G!

HI
My waffle boards are held on with cable ties, and before anyone recons cable ties are not strong enough, these ones are almost 20mm wide and a meter long. Industrial strenght.

To put pictures on the forum you need to host them somewhere online. The MC gallery is a good place to start.
There was a link to picture hosting a few years ago, dunno if its still about.

Basiclly load your pic to the MC gallery.
Once you have done that right click on the picture and select "properties"
In the box that pops up copy the link for the address.

Now when you want to post the picture on the forum click "insert image" from the selection of icons at the top menu.
then paste your piccie address inbetween [url and [/url]

Regards

Here's what I did:

The waffle board goes where my two fingers are, and is held on by the large washer and pin. There are four of these arrangements for each board (two on the front bar and two on the rear, so four per bar in total).

I wish I'd thought of cable ties as drilling aluminium roof bars accurately without a drill press was an interesting process!

Edit, the bolt isn't bent, it's a camera distortion thing.
