« on: January 25, 2009, 20:49:42 »

I have a 200tdi 110, as I release the clutch and take up drive, I'm getting a judder.. this only happens in reverse, all forward gears are fine..

Check for a split engine mount bush, and oil in the bellhousing.

Most likely either the gearbox or clutch release bearing. Unfortuatly it's hard to tell without having engine and/or gearbox out. As suggest look in/around bellhousing for any ominous signs...

Hiya, Check that the handbrake is releasing ok. If its sticking it will give you a judder.

Thanks for the suggestions, I had a look today, and what I found was the rear prop UJ was seized solid. I don't know why this was only causing a problem in reverse, but I replaced it, and now it's fine..
