I think the met office are covering there ar*e with this outlook.

There is now high confidence for a colder easterly regime to have become established by the start of this forecast period. As we go through the first week, there looks to be an increasing risk of some wintry precipitation at times, this most likely in the north and east with some accumulations of snow expected, especially over the higher ground further north. Confidence in the amount and distribution of any snow is low however at this stage. Longer term, through the weekend and into the following week, indications are that the cold or rather cold weather may persist along with the risk of some snow at times, though there are hints that slightly less-cold conditions may develop towards the end of this period.
