Sinking Disco 2.

Came home from work the other day to find the back corner of my Disco was nearly on the floor.  :(
If i start it up and press the off road button it pumps it back up and can drive it as normal but when i park it up and come back to it the next day it will have sank again.
Would i be right in thinking this is the air bag suspension has a hole in it?
If so, how much of a job is it to swap one?

Swapping the bags isn't a biggie but like all these things a 2-post lift will make life easier.  I found getting the new bags inverted properly was a nightmare (AndyCWB and I spent a LOT of calories on it) but maybe I was just unlucky.

Initially I was wondering why both of yours would go down if only one was faulty (the valve block treats both totally separately) but of course if one is going down the car's probably trying to self-level and letting air out of the other one as well.

You can check for leaky air bags by dousing them with fairy liquid / water mixture and looking for bubbles.  If not it could be a leaky union or perished o-ring.  Check each union along the way with the same method.  I've never worked on a Disco valve block so no idea what to look for at that end.

One other thing you may want to try is raising the car to its full height and cleaning any mud out which has become sandwiched between the rubber and plastic parts of the bag.

Don't put off the repair for tooo long ... the pump is working more than usual to replace lost air, and so is wearing out faster than normal.   Put off a repair job like this and you end up with knackered pump as well.

it could also be a chaffed pipe that feeds the bag and not the bag itself

convert it to springs.it took me just over 20 minutes to convert one with a kit purchased from paddocks for £65

Swapped them both today, Was a really easy job once we worked out was we were doing.
One of them was definitely leaking.
