transit problems.

hi people would any of you no why my 2.5 diesel non turbo transit. when driving it every now and then it will run like a total bag of poo, sounds like its not running on all four, going up a hill it goes about 15 - 20 mph tops and smokes and bit

its sounds to me it could be the diaphram in the diesel pump,or maybe the pump is getting weak,when they get weak,it wont crack the injectors off properly,or the injectors themselfs are knackerd :-k

It probably because it is missing 4 cylinders and using the wrong fuel :lol:

Have you looked at the fuel filter and or any other fuel/water sedimenter that is probably fitted?

Try cracking the injector pipes one by one with the engine running, just loosen them a little, enough for fuel to come out, then do them up again.  If this works, move the fuel return pipe from cylinder 4 to cylinder 1 and put a little vertical loop in it.  Sounds mad but worked on mine.
