Glastonbury...
« on: February 02, 2009, 18:37:40 »
Oh the joy of almost teenage daughter dancing round the kitchen with joy as she finds out we have Glasto tickets... just her and me going this time so chance to really get round the music!

Had a slight moment of concern as tickets had been on sale for some time - they were taking deposits, with the balance due in full by last night.

Trouble is, January is simply too much month for the amount of money to go around... and as it's just over £400 for two tix and camping, there was no way the Fun Prevention Officer was going to sanction that sort of spend before pay day.

Imagine my concern when they took tickets off sale last week - the web site said, "SOLD OUT"

Still... all is well, some tickets were released this morning so now have e-mail confirming all booked and paid!!!

Anyone else going?

With apologies to our very own Boss... it's now confirmed that The Boss in the form of Bruce Springsteen is to headline at Glasto on the Saturday night.

Last time I saw Springsteen was at the MK Bowl - would have been about 15 years or so ago when he did a three hour set - Legend!

Not sure how he will fit everything into an hour long slot, but that's his worry!

Makes my enforced restraint yesterday at the Donington show worthwhile... having had the conversation with the Fun prevention Officer about, 'why don't we have any money this month...?  Ah, that would be 'cause I've paid for the Glasto tix... all £430 of it, to include camping etc.  :-#

Happy, happy day!!!! :D
