Driving Licence

It would appear that the photo card driving licence is for 10 yrs only then it needs to be renewed.
Maybe some people need to check to see if they are out of date.
DVLA figures reveal that while 16,136 expired this summer, so far only 11,566 drivers have renewed, leaving 4,570 outstanding.

Watchdog covered this too, a DVLA spokesman said its the photo card that expires, not your entitlement to drive! So you can still legally drive with an expired card as long as your licence is still valid.

I wouldn't rely on that!

But it's no great secret that the licence expires - the date's printed on it, and DVLA write to you to tell you too.
