Some have them, some don't, my R reg one only has tail lights in the bumper, with the indicators, and in the rear quarter light is brake lights and fogs, however, if you can source a light cluster from a disco with tail and indicators in the rear quarter lights, you 'may' find that the wiring is already there, however, don;t bank on it, cos it's not on all of them..... they chopped and changed so much during production, you can never be sure.....

I think it's somthing to do with the US spec ones where they say both sides of the rear lights must be visable when the rear door is open .

for loading at the side of the road...

on a 200 tdi if you open the door the spare wheel covers the off side lights so they moved them to the bumper on the later models....;)

That's pretty much spot on..!!!!! but I'd read it was to do with hazard warning lights and the back door...lol

When they changed to the 300 series they just added side and indicator lights into the bumpers, then later (R reg onwards I think) they changed again and dropped the side and indicator lights from the rear quarters leaving them just in the bumper....it's confusing as hell as there are always some crossover models out there...!!!

Mine being an 'N' reg has tail and indicator lights in both the bumper and the rear quarter...I've even changed the tail lights in the bumper for stop/tail lights so now I have 4 of everything...lmao

If you add the extra indicators then you also need a different flasher relay.  I've heard several accounts including the 200 lights were "used up" on a run of later 300 TDi Discos, what you get seems to be luck of the draw.

On my 300tdi both the bumper and quater panel lights work with side lights and indercators but only brake lights work on the quarter lights.

Like they say is pot luck what type you get.

when I bought my disco I had indicator and side lights in the bumper. I bought 200tdi light clusters for about £20 off ebay, puled the wiring through from the bumper and fitted it into the wiring block. Dead easy to do. Then I bought a 2nd hand 200tdi bumper (no light cut outs) and so looks like a 200tdi rear end light wise. No messing with relays either for indicators.

Reason I changed mine was due to the amount of crud that got into the light rears in the bumper and stopped the lights working properly. Especially when off roading!
