Anybody else had silver modulars go discoloured??
« on: February 14, 2009, 01:21:25 »
Hi.

I bought a set of 5 steel modulars in silver less than 6 months ago from a trusted independant LR garage. 3 of the 5 wheels now appear grey, as if the top layer of paint has come off. However, the 2 coloured stripes around the rim are still as they should be.

The discolouration is even, and on both inner and outer of wheel.

Only had normal road use and some greenlaning.

The garage has checked with the supplier and they say it's unheard of. I have the option of sending them all back to be examined.

Any ideas?

Cheers, Dan
