Brakes

My 300tdi 90 has suddenly worn its brake pads down to the backing!
It is happening on all four callipers but only on the inside pads.
Is there any particular reason for just the inside pads wearing down on all 4 corners?

hi matt my 90 has done this on the front and its the caliper the pistons are siezed i,m gonna replace both calipers

Thought so, just seems a bit odd that all 4 would go at once.
Oh well, for new calipers, pads and discs.......... student loan :dance:

The inside pads go faster if you have binned the dust sheilds, the dust gets in there and wears the pads away ;)

You can also get more corrosion on the inside pads as they are more axposed to road water.

I knew they wear down faster but the outside ones are not worn at all!!!

Almost certainly points to the calipers being seized.

Yeah thought so.
Going to strip and clean them this weekend and see if it makes a difference  [-o<
