It can vary toabk to tank but TBH if you're getting that bad consistantly then you've probably taken mine by mistake.

Chronic fuel consumption is an ealry symptom of cam wear, perhaps just the timing chain, perhaps the cam lobes.  Does it tap at all yet?

I wish mine would do 19!

I have done a short run on petrol, and got about 15, down to 12 of gas!

Mine averages 13 around town and 16/17 on longer runs - I even got it to 20 on a very long cruise...  :D

Mind you, I've not got any of the heavyweight extras bolted on that most of you guys drag around... ;)

My disco varies sooo much- on a gentle drive down the German autobahn (constant 80mph for about 400 miles) I will get as much as 25mpg, but around the local roads back home in Wales I will be looking closer to 5mpg. Again, I don't have any havy bottles to lug around and I pay 50p a litre (Tax free).
