Rear RRC axle into 200tdi Disco
« on: February 22, 2009, 10:40:48 »
Just wondering if the rear range rover classic axle is a straight(ish) swap to my 200tdi disco. Mines a 24 spline and I think the donor is too. The rear axle on mine is shot, got diff pan leaks, shock mount has snapped off, been welded back on and now the hole in the mount for the shock is oval :( So lots of banging and clattering and leaking from the rear end.
Also if I get the donor, apart from giving it a scrub and a scrape with a wire brush, are there any parts worth replacing/checking when it's off?
