Bloody thing!
1 minute runs fine, next 10 mins revs rise and fall at standstill with excelerator pressed, try setting off and it dies! :(
Tried bleeding and all was fine
when it cut out all together, no fuel at injectors
tried driving home, was nightmare setting off from standstill, but was ok on motorway! :)
Any ideas?

Mmmmm, for it to be OK at M/Way speeds is odd - but was that after a bleed? If so then my money is still on air in the system - FCOS wiring could be the problem as RRB says - but I doubt its the FCOS itself as they are bullet proof. I'd be checking the olives on the fuel lines at the lift pump for fit on the pipes - if they are loose or spinning on the pipes they will draw air into the system and due to their location after the filter can have some odd effects, depending on which one is leaking..........

cheers for the repliees! :)
I checked the fuel cut off soloniod when I wouldn't start and it was clicking!
I was constantly bleeding the car all day and it never really helped! :(
It definatly seems to be an issue with fuel supply, it miss fires then if u go wide open throttle it dies till u change gear! I'm thinking pump issues now! :(

Lift the inspection hatch in the rear floor and check the condition of the pipes coming out of the tank. If these rust and get a pin sized hole in them then it can drag air in that way.
Mine went on the return line and it was hard to start in the mornings as all the fuel had drained back into the tank overnight. As it was the return line, once started then it ran fine.
If yours has gone on the feed line then it may cause what you describe. ;)
