Converting 110 csw to Van sides
« on: February 24, 2009, 18:32:33 »
Hi
I'm thinking of converting my 110 CSW to a doublecab comercial .( I think that's what they're called) :-k
Basically change the rear windows into van sides.
I have been told the van side panels I need are from an 88 inch model. Is this correct? and are there any other issues in doing this swap? or is it fairly straight forward.
One other question are there any interior trim panels I can get or should I just ply line it.
Landyman ...
If in doubt go flat out!!!!

Landrover calls what you want to do a "110 County Station Wagon Commercial" in the brochure.

A Double Cab is a different model with the cabin roof that ends directly behind the 2nd row seats and a modular rear end for canvas/pickup/ivorwilliams etc (as far as I know anyway).

I think either pux or denviks posted on here their conversion not so long ago. Series 3 SWB sides.  Myself knowing I might want to change back to bench seats and windows someday decided it was best to pick up some of the alloy and frame window blanks made by Landrover Special Vehicles and rivit them in place of the windows. These can be found on utility services 110's. I am happy enough with the look and security and easy enough to revert back to windows in about an hour.
