hi on the front of the timing casing take the 3 10mm bolts of in side you will see 3 more undo them and the nut in the middle is 22mm turn that antie clock wise a bit at a time with out the engine running and you can at the rear of the pump there is a small screw take off the antie tamper bit and a plate on the threads and undo the nut 13mm and turn it clock wise a bit at a time with engine running you will here the engine pick up speed hope this helps
That's adjusting the idle speed and timing IIRC?
thats how to slightly adjust the timing, why you would want to retard the timing beats me????
normally advancing it slightly helps but generally i wouldnt bother,
diaphram cap off & turn the diphram 90degrees clockwise, after that you can remove the smoke screw (the one with the anti tamper cover on the back of the pump) & turn it 1/4 of a turn clockwise NO MORE this will increase the over all fueling of the pump, if you screw the smoke screw in to far it will knacker the stop solenoid & choke the pump with rubber
