What he said

Sowdon tyres were one of the biggest sellers of colway tyres so if they say their back then I think the info is good...

fortunatly when they stopped selling I managed to pick up three new tyres for £90 so I only need one for a full set

Can't hear the muds on mine over the noise of everything else rattling plus the stereo

But I think they are really good tyres they work in the sloppy stuff and handle OK on the road , OK they don't last as long as more expensive makes but you can get 2 or 3 sets for the same money so that makes up for the milage...

Where I go to play is all slate so I would rather cut a £40 tyre than a £100 tyre  ;)

though to be fair I haven't had one go yet (touching wood as I type)

I think a lot depends on what vehicle they're on and what the driving style is.

I think a lot depends on what vehicle they're on and what the driving style is.

I can see that to a point, but they are designed for 4x4 vehicles!! I ran mine on my Discovery 200TDi, local mileage only at a maximum of 50 MPH!

I would have expected to get at least double what I did!

I can't say I noticed much wear after 6,000 miles on mine at least.

I've just checked me reciepts I can say by working out the milage and the date to the nearest mot I have got around 33-35 thou out of two sets . I did swap the balding ones back on to the car for the road to work and then revolved them around the car to get them all close to the minimum before binning them (tight wad)

but there it stands .. The first set were past their best for playing in the mud at about 7-8  thou but I got many more road miles out of them ..

Unfortunatly I have got rid of my spare wheels or I'd do it again with the new set...  the passenger side front wears at about twice the speed of all the others..
