Snorkel pipework on a 2.5 NAD
« on: March 01, 2009, 21:42:52 »
Hi,

will be fitting a snorkel to my 90 soon, I just cannot decide which side to mount it and then where to run the flexi pipe inside the wings/engine bay to the Air Filter.

I have purchased a Chrome snorkel pipe but will be soucing the flexi pipe from another source (hopefully)

Has anyone got any images of how they have routed the flexi pipe ??

I bought a mantek snorkel (I think) for my N/A that went in through the top of the wing. If you're thinking of going down that route, good luck.

I gave up trying in the end and flogged it, there's absolutely no room to run the pipe work past the heater.

I'm going to have a crack at a Safari style snorkel next but without a side vent I'm told it can be a bit tricky.

That's exactly what I thought when I looked at mounting the snorkel on the Passenger's side, getting past the heater assembly was tight, even looked at running it above the heater, but the bend in the pipe to go back under the wing is just too tight.

So drivers side is easier but needs a longer pipe.........
