Another Newbie says HI!
« on: March 24, 2009, 17:02:29 »
Hi all, I was told about this site from a mate (I don't know his user name on here).

I have a Frontera 2.5 TDS LWB and starting to build something similar to this:

Based on a 3.9 Disco (which I am currently looking for)

Another motor I have (you may not be interested in) is an old VW camper bay window, with a 2.4L 6 cylinder Chevy engine in!

I'm off to look for a cheep Disco!

Welcome to Mud Club.

We have a trade customer who has just finished 'refurbishing' a bay window camper van. He's done a nice job, although not a full restoration.

Thanks for the replies guys :D

V8MoneyPit - I've done a complete resto on the bay but fitting that engine was the best bit, and it is FAST.

As I said earlier I am after a scrap/failed MOT/spares-or-repair v8 Disco for that project above.  So if anyone knows of one (that is near me) please say. I really want to start this soon.
