Tow bar
« on: March 24, 2009, 21:18:43 »
Just a quick one
My newly purchased 200 tdi 90 has a tow bar, do you think i will have to take it off to do a pay and play day.
It's got a 2" lift and 265/75/16 Machos so not short on ground clearance, but i'm a bit worried that the tow bar will act as a plough in the deep ruts.

What do you guys think on or off?

Cheers Mark

I don't think it's worth the hassle of taking it off just for pay and play. Maybe if your using it as a challenge truck it would be an option.
Yes it might well plough in but at least you will have some where to attach a rope to tow you out.
I've done loads of play days with an unlifted 110 and 90 complete with towbar and it's never been a problem.
Landyman ...
If in doubt go flat out!!!!

Thank you Landyman I will leave it on, it's much higher than the rear axle anyway
