Head wall bang and still getting no where
« on: April 01, 2009, 10:01:53 »
After the said loss of my G-Wac, I was lucky enouth to find a late 96 Discovery V8 3.9 ES with a full gas system, and ALL the buttons worked for £1900. Now ownd for three years trouble free motoring. As it's on gas the electric's I.E.  plugs, leads ,cap and rotor arm, need to be high quality and in good re-pair. Or you get back fire, which at one point blew the air box apart . I now have a problem with the running on gas, which is due to a failed lambda. :( Not a big problem I know, but  on LGP Forum ( Great place if you run on LPG) Theres a conflict of advice on which lambda is fitted to my disco, The two that are on the disco are three wire (red, black and white) round plug, with Lucas on the side. Now some say that the 3.9 was only fitted with 0v-1v lambda's others say that as I am getting a reading of 2.46v to 2.53v from the one that still works on the laptop, (prog and lead from Tinley tech lpg fitters) I must have 0v -5v fitted. Which is why it's running bad. Got the second one out now, the full wording is Lucas NTK D3G  the further down 3LS. Please help as at £70+ each plus p&p I don't want to order the wrong ones.

On a better point. Muddy Steve that engine and ECU that I got from you is still going well after I striped it down and rebuilt it with all new parts from Rimmers.
One G-WAC Disco new inner wings,New disc all round, new ball-joints, replaced inner-sills orange polybush new springs and shocks just the engine and g-box to do with full sport ss-exhaust (now she says I cannot take it off road) So I've got another one (well rolling shell) now where was that scorpionracing parts list
