Other than replacement of the timing housing/gears etc, is there anything else I need to consider when returning a ZEUS conversion back to original LR fitment.
For example, oil is routed to and through the ZEUS casing, how does it get there and do I need to 'plug' this up somehow? (Obviously the new housing will not have any 'oil' holes in it, but are there any other modifications to route this oil :-k

Many thanks,
Ollie

It's a conversion to replace the timing belt on a 300TDI with a gear train. They were popular during the premature timing belt failure years before LR developed a cure. If I was building an expedition or competition truck I would probably fit them as they make the engine pretty much indestructible, but for normal stuff the price would put me off - you can buy a complete MOT failure Disco with a good engine for the same money!

Have you tried contacting Zeus to see if they can advise? I know I have read about other people removing them but can't remember where.

There have been a few reports of teeth breaking off the cogs, which is why the kits are not so popular these days...
