Both vehicles had to be inspected a DVLA Portsmouth. When inspecting the Series 1, the chassis number could not be identified as a welded patch had been done. I was given 30 days to prove its identity or get a Q plate. I spent hours & hours uncovering axle numbers, researching numbers/dates, etc before I was granted the number.Check that all numbers recorded on the V5 are visible - Before you go for the inspection.
how comes you had to have both vehicles inspected? this isn't a normal thing is it or was it because you had the series 1?
but the inspection is not always carried out is it?
