You could plug your old telly into a normal arial and recieve ITV/BBC yes?Freeview is just the digital version of what your old telly could do with a few more channels.
you would be suprised how man ypoeple have left sky tv since it started... :-#incl. me!
If you have freeview ten you'll still be able to watch some channel during thunderstorms ;)
You dont need a monitor licence :? :? :? :?
You do if you're watching telly through it, even through a computer - MythTV etc. As soon as there is a tuner involved somewhere then you need a licence. If it is JUST a monitor then you don't need a license, but staring at the desktop background is not normally a substitute for watching EastEnders.
