The early 90 swivel has a railco top swivel bush and large top pin. The early discovery and range rover have a smaller top pin and a taper bearing which would make interchanging just the chrome ball a no go. How ever you could swop a complete stub axle and chrome ball from a discovery to the 90 with ease. Just remember that an early disco front half shaft is in 2 pieces and the 90 half shaft is a single complete unit.

i changed the hole front hubs for disco ones about 12 months ago becouse the disco ones had new teflon balls on but now the cvs are on the way out and i wanted to putthe defender hubs on the new balls as i have just finished referbing them have you any idea if the disco bearings and pins will fitt the defender hubs? P.S do you remember the trouble we were both having with white smoke ?well after changing everything even including the pistons i have finaly cracked it. it was the fuel pump
