I think Ive got one spare.  I run a ZF auto and Ive bought a few V8 wader plug kits over the years.  Drop me your address and I'll post it to you (if you want to mail me address for security its mail@ashleybyrne.com ) and you buy me a beer at one of the shows  :P  :P

I meant that by running the ZF you dont need plug so I always have the plug left over.  Its not the ZF plug, one for the manual gear box.

Im so simple I confuse myself all day long.....

I have the opposite problem, in that the one in my gearbox bell housing won't budge. I've tried and tried to remove it but it's solid

Stilsons, or a hexagonal socket?

Not every problem can be solved with duct tape, and it's exactly for those situations we have WD 40

You might need to resort to a bit of heat.  The wading plug is steel, the bellhousing aluminium, so there will be a bit of corrosion going on.

Try a hot air gun if you've nothing else Andy. You'll be surprised how much heat you get off one of those. Use one at work for sweating parts and it's brill.
Cheers, Karl..

When applying the pressure with the socket, try to get someone to tap the end of the socket, might just be enough shock to release it, it goes without saying not too hard!

Cheers for the advice guys, no hot air guns but I've plenty of hair dryers lying around here

Might give it another go tomorrow if it warms up a bit, bloomin cold today.

A cheapo gas torch from a diy shop can be quite effective either Andy.
