TD5 defender Alternator

Hello

I am trying to get the above off!!! but we are struggleing to get the bottom bolt out.

Any idea's??

Hey

Iv changed mine a couple of times with no problems, so all i can suggest is some more wiggling, brute force and ignorance.

I did take the brake servo pump off the front first which makes it a little easier if that helps??

Thanks for that, but its the bolt that is being snagged by one of the pully wheels.

Iv just looked in the big book of words to remind myself, you have to take the auxillary drive belt tensioner off (LH thread) and then all should be free.

thats all done and fitted. But, we now have a problem! when we turn the engine off there is a knocking noise( you only hear it twice), it sounds like one of the pulleys is loose - but they are not.

Any one any ideas
