Ford. What a palava.
« on: April 30, 2009, 17:37:18 »
I bought a Ford Ranger as some of you know a few weeks ago. It had to go in for a couple of warranty repairs which I knew about when I bought it and as I thought it would be really easy to get done, being as Ford are a big company and all and might do some customer care courses I thought, I wont wait for the garage to do the work I will do the warranty stuff myself.

3 garages on, 2 weeks worth of being mucked about and now the garage I bought the ranger off is collecting the ranger tomorrow from me and going to sort it out themselves as they are horrifred of the service I have recieved. 10/10 for the garage I got it from. Thats why I bought it from them on a friends high recomendation.

So if you see a black ford ranger tomorrow it is probably mine being taken from Banbury to Grimsby!

With all this happening it does mean that this weekend (my birthday weekend) I cant go to my mums house about 100miles away in the ranger and show her my new toy, cant go in the rover unless I buy more insurance which I REALLY dont want to do and the disco appears to have the rear wheel steer problem and wanders around all over the place. So high miles on a motorway I am guessing isn't great. I am hoping it is ok to drive to work and back for a week or 2.

So my old saying of stick with the devil you know even if it is only worth a few hundred quid like my rover is so true. I have put off buying a new car incase soemthing goes wrong with a new one. And sure enough it is true! Also I sat on the hardshoulder of a motorway last year on my birthday. I dont fancy risking the disco again and sitting on a differenthard shoulder!

So all in all, the motto is, don't buy a new car. stick with the one you got (unless you are forced to like it goes up in flames for example!)

Not a happy chappy. I am sorry to anyone who works for Frod but I wont be recomending them to my friends. Shame, as I LOVE the ford engines.

and they have used quarter of a tank of diesel which is about 100 miles. They are only 10-12 miles from my house.
