Detroit Locker
« on: May 17, 2009, 10:49:52 »
I have fitted a second hand Detroit Locker and I am experiencing some noise not the usual banging when engaging and disengaging the locker but a whirring droning noise when the locker is engaged. The bearings have been replaced so it's not that. If this is normal then that's fine as the noise is not to bad but has anyone any experience of these lockers?

Cheers

Mark

If all you have swapped is the diff then it's the way it's been built up, backlash, preload etc.
