what diff is in my RRC??

What diff is going to be in my 1985 RRC?? a 10spline??

It appears my rear diff is knackered so I need a new one, will one off a Tdi Disco fit??

Yes and yes, If unsure about splines just take off a halfshaft and count the splines on the end,

Also it doesnt matter if its front or rear from the donor vehicle. They are completly interchangeable

Yours is likely to be a 10 spline. If the donor vehicle is a 24 spline use those shafts and upgrade!  :D

In which case get the stub axles too, they have an oil seal inside them that runs on the halfshaft, better than what you have now.

Do the stub axles have the same number of splines as the shafts?

Stub axles don't have any splines on them, just a thread on the end for a hub nut.

Stub axles don't have any splines on them, just a thread on the end for a hub nut.

YES BUT, the half shaft that come in the 24 spline axles have a journal for an oil seal inside the stub axle.  This arrangement work better than the original design but you need to swap the stub axles as well.
