hello

i have just fitted a discovery 200tdi engine into my ex defender 200tdi 90, and the temperature shows it going straight up to red after turning on, i have been told this is due to the temperature sensor being wrong for the guage, is this true? if so what sensor do i need to make it work
i tried the one from my defender engine but the thread was wrong
also
i am in the process of swapping my axlefor a disco disk braked one, cant get the A-frame off or the bottom bolt of the shock absorbers, im hoping some one is going to tell me a trick but i think its just go out and but the correct size spanner and t**t it with a hammer, what size are the bolts?

will the thermostat housing gasket be ok with gasket compand? or a sheet of gasket paper cut to the correct shape?

will the top gasket of the gear box be ok with the same gasket options as above?

advice needed as im spost to be driving from mansfield to llandysul in wales on friday  8-[

cheers kieran
