110 CSW..... Soft top
« on: May 31, 2009, 18:01:34 »
Had a strange thought... what would the 110 look like with a crew cab roof... but a canvas one... Anyone by chance got any pics of one? As after digging round a few of the trim sites they just seem to do full tilts... and not just a crew cab... and I know as soon as I mention it to them I will get the ooh that will cost you....

cheers

Dave

Surley a 110 crewcab roof would just be the same dimentions as a 90 full soft top?

A couple of companies used to convert 110CSW's to full length soft-tops.

Frogs Island still does (go to the Defender in the 'Vehicles' gallery & you'll find a green CSW on page4)

Think Rogers of Bedford did it too?, & possibly Nene Overland?

There used to be a crew cab soft top near Mansfield - it might still be there but I've moved away.

It still  had the normal metal curved cab back and just a canvas roof. Sorry no pics as only ever saw it when I was driving. I think it would have looked better if the back of the cab was canvas as well.

emailed Exmoor last night... only to have it passed onto Trackers... who have got the wrong end of the stick.... thinking I was wanting an off the shelf rear tilt tilt for a crew cab rather than a tilt as a crew cab....
