« on: June 02, 2009, 12:15:17 »
Having spent hours and hours removing my fuek tank I now have a new one from Tim Fry landrovers. It won't go in though. Keep gettin git to within about an inch, but no luck.

It's a 1990 Defender 90 Diesel. Any ideas?

Hi,

I replaced my fuel tank on a 90 2.5NAD about a year ago, it was a sod. I was told by the garage to "Wiggle it" !!, from memory fit left side first, then lift right hand side and between the 2 of us we managed it !!

This is probably not the answer you want !!, you probably need someone by the side of you that has done it and shows how they did it
Her Name is Lola, she is a 90 !

This is without doubt the worst job i have ever done on my landy. It took about 3 hours wrestling in every position to get it in. Best suggestion i can offer is walk away & come back tomorrow for another go.
