How easy is it to do clutch on discovery 1?
Driving home today when i lost the clutch pedal, no pressure then the pedal went rock hard half way down, i am assuming it is the clutch & not the slave cylinder.
First time i have had to do one myself on disco!
Hopefully no problems!!!

never done it but doesnt seem too hard. the thing that put me off when it came to doing mine was the removal of the gear box. have been since told that you can support the g/box on a trollyjack and the crossmember and still have enough room to do the clutch.

sounds like it might be a clutch fork or the rod and moved.  but before you start taking the gear box out cheek every thing else, may be worth removing the slave cylinder and having a look.

As for doing the clutch you will need some long extension bars a deep 15mm socket (among others).

Iv done 3 now, 2 have been box out on the drive using an engine crane and a trolley jack (crossmember  out) and the other on a ramp at work (crossmember  in).

the second one on the drive was almost as quick as the one on the ramp. about 4 hrs ,first one was 8+
