Thatll teach me.....
« on: March 25, 2005, 22:24:35 »
 Thatll teach me not to fall asleep in front of the telly.
You see after giveing back my C.B to DPG ive been on the lookout for a new one. So i went on ebay last night and by coinsidence i saw a good one going cheap and the seller only lived 2 miles down the road, so i thought great no postage to pay and seller agreed for me to pick it up if i won  :D . Got home today had me tea ( whilst at this point i was highest bidder )  and fell asleep in front of the box    DPG woke me up on the phone to see why i had not upped my bidd, so i told him ide fell asleep went on ebay and yes ide lost by £1.00   .
:D So went looking for another one and found a good little Midland 40 channel which ive just won cost £28.00, i couldve find a cheaper one somewere else but im running out of time i need one asap. Heres the one ive won. :D

:D The moral of this story is. DONT fall asleep if theres minutes to go on ebay....
If in first you dont suceed, try second....
If it aint broke, your not trying ard enough....

Regards MIKE.

he he he :)

I find it frustrating when bidding only to know the aucion finishes whilst I am out on the road.... invariably losing by a similar small amount
If I could only find some mud to play in, I would be as happy as the preverbial pig!!!

I always find that the finishing time for bids is either early in the morning or last thing at night, very frustrating.

If its any consolation, you'll usually only lose by a pound on auctions.

What you don't know is if the guy had a bid in place 5 or 10 pounds more than you were prepared to pay.. that's the nature of the beast.

I always take the view that you have to bid what you are willing to pay and no more... there is often someone out there who will pay just that one pound more and sometimes you loose out.

Ebay is a beast that you'll never tame.

I always set a limit and stick to, if you lose there'll be someone eles along later with the same item and you can have another go.
Cheers.

Don`t blindly follow where others lead, go you own way, and leave a trail. which, being in a Land Rover, will be of oil.

yeah, there seems to be a glut of them on eBay and it sounded like your needs were more urgent than mine! I'm sure I can get one from Sodbury if I'm quick enough.
