 well put a range rover v8 axle on my 200tdi disco well all fitted fine but the wheels slightly move side to side now me and my brother looked at it and the track rods move as the wheel moves . . .

 well we grabbed the wheel on the sides not top and bottom . .  . if u get what i mean lol

 now what could that be all i can think of is the steering box

Panhard ord bushes are the most frequent cause.

Play top and bottom is swivels, but thatwouldindicate excessive wear.

the panhard rod bushes wer replaced with polybush acouple of months ago . . .

 yea the top and bottom dnt move its the sides . ..

Right, so the wheel moves side to side like it's turning.  The get a mate to wiggle the steering and climb underneath to looks at the balljoints and steering box drop arm.  Any excessive wear is obvioius but listen for any tell-tale clunks or feel each balljoint for slight knocking.
