So looks like TATA are going to merge all the models into a Defender body!!!

The Defender is a working vehicle and as such doesnt warrant that sort of luxury or price tag.

BMW Ford and TaTa, have all changed the basic concept which WAS Land Rover; it could be repaired anywhere in the world with out the use of expensive diagnostic equipment, and most parts use to be interchangeable.
Now............Well its just the same as any other overpriced 4x4.

Next they will curve the glass, make them reliable and so they wont break; one of the comments was right, "go buy a Land cruiser"

1995 300tdi 90 rebuilt and on the road (but still a project)
1992 Pajero SWB 2.5 Auto (failed its MOT and for sale if you want it)

Im talking in genral Matt, your dads has got standard looking lights etc. But i think people know what im trying to say, the basics hadnt really changed till BMW swapped things around, then Ford changed the mechanics again, and now TATA are changing its looks, its a DEFENDER not a Range Rover, Disco or Freebie.

YUK!

At least the air vents are still cheap, exactly the same as used on earthmoving equipment and not that good.

I can't imagine what they were thinking, but then this is the compnay that last year decided to take it's reputation and scrap it along with all the spare parts for anything over 10 years old, I doubt I'll be buying a new(er) LR product now, might as well buy a FORD.

It just has a dodgy paint job and the lights from the SVX, much better visability than the usual candles.

That's just a foam pad, been fitted to previous defenders.

Can't fit airbags due to the distance from the steering wheel to the seat back - defender is to cramped to allow a safe air bag deploy.
