Cherokee 2.8 CRD engine/vehicle
« on: June 23, 2009, 08:30:50 »
Hi,

Friend of mine has asked about a 51 plate 2.8 CRD Cherokee, any known problems he should look at? Where is the engine from is it another VM unit with multi heads?

Sticker price is £3700.

Any thoughts, comments? Thanks in advance Maf

2.8 CRd is the Merc engine pretty good according to my reports, the 2.5 was the VM unit, my local garage man refers to them as boat engines nuff said, not very easy to repair they have replaced two recently with low mileage secondhand units.

Needs a good service record but that appears quite cheap

Thanks guys, I'll pass on the info, not a bog diesel lover, so thought I'd check. Cheers Maf
