Disco 2 Rear door
« on: July 01, 2009, 16:06:40 »
Hi Guys.

I have converted my 7 seater to 5 by removing the third row of seats. I now don't need the opening mechanism in the rear door.

My plan was, remove the opening mechanism from the inside and just put a metal plate over the whole of the inside of the door.

Then I was told how unreliable the door mechanism is, and if I do, I would have terrible trouble ever opening the rear door again if the central locking mechanism gave up the ghost.

So question.

How many people here have had problems with the central locking mechanism in a disco (II)

Thanks

Ed

I've known of a couple needing attention, and mine has been playing up for a while now, I just haven't had the time to get round to fixing it

I have a checker plate sheet fitted to my rear door which is soooo much better than the old door card (which didn;t stand up too well to spaniels teeth), but it still has all the handles etc available to you so that the door can be opened from the inside, just in case  ;)
