Holymoorside
« on: August 10, 2009, 22:33:26 »
Hi there, I regularly drive past the Holymoorside pay and play site and the gate always seems to be open with no one on....

Now i'd love to go and have the occasional play (the temptation to turn myself brown is almost too much  ), but also want the permission of the land owner and will even provide beer tokens, anyone have any contact details?

Cheers

MMT

As you head away from chesterfield, there's a driveway about 50m up from the right hand turn. Go have a word at the farm house.

The guy can only open the site for 14 days per year due to peak park planning regulations though.

Had a group turn up on the friday afternoon and not leave till sunday afternoon. £100 for the whole lot. We hired in toilets (there's no facillities on the site) and they cost twice what the site did

Can't remeber if the blokes name is Peter or Steve off the top of my head, but if you wanna know his contact details, drop me a PM and I'll send you his number over - really nice bloke, really straight forward to deal with.

NNOC charges the same for whichever site we visit. At some we make a profit, at others a loss. But, over a twelve month period, we make a very small profit that benefits the Club's funds. We have to take a year long view of our activities, and charge a price that permits our members to attend all the sites we visit, rather than be limited to only a few by cash considerations.
