MOT time

MOT coming up fast. Using and Abusing the defender over the last yet but it's been relatively boring by not giving me any trouble to fix for ages (saving it up I bet). My to do list to carry out before the MOT is pretty short, some extra stuff because I am taking it to the lakedistrict at end of month:

Poke all the years hard to reach mud off chassis whilst it is bone dry (done today ... blinded myself with dust in process...and oh.... NO RUST).
Jet wash chassis (done).
Replace the faded front indicator lens (they are showing white - lens are on order).
Replace the rear anti roll bar rubbers (got poly's coming on order).
Reseat the bloody stupid rubber boot on the steering drop arm ball (I'll do this around the corner before MOT as it will  work itself off 5 mins after MOT for sure)
Cut off the pointy tube I welded to front bumper to mount an aerial (MOT man wont like it and I dont need anymore).
Check and grease up prop shafts.
Change engine oil, oil filter, clean out K&N, change fuel filters (veggy and derv)
Jack up each wheel and check bearings - adjust if needed.
Waxoil the chassis externals and had to reach nooks where its gone dry.

Turned up for MOT, passed without advisories (not even off record casual remarks), - but I got's date wrong ... over a month left to run on current ticket  :roll: lost a month.

Turned up for MOT, passed without advisories (not even off record casual remarks), - but I got's date wrong ... over a month left to run on current ticket  :roll: lost a month.

I mite be wrong but check your MOT expiry date you may find you havent lost your month. I am sure it starts from the date it's due. (ie: 13 months max)

nah it's over a month too soon, earliest I could do that would be the 28th of this month and then they could set it for the proper due date.
