Mid-life Crisis
« on: September 15, 2009, 09:05:33 »
Does starting to ride a Moto-X bike at 45 qualify for a mid life crisis ?
I've riden bikes 20+ years ago but never MX, It takes until Thursday after riding Sunday before i can walk properly
Anyone else having their mid-life crisis ???

Not MXing, but I found that when I went back to underground exploration, after a weekend of hard trips it would take a few days to recover, nowadays though I can do Hard trips without suffering, Its called upping your fitness levels.

mid life crisis, I'll leave that for when I'm reely grown up!

It's surprisingly hard work - I did a day at an enduro practice track and it was a good few days until I stopped walking like Kryten from Red Dwarf.  :-o

The thing with MX is that unless you start when you're about 3, you'll never be "good". Prepare to be overtaken, roosted and generally terrorised by yoofs who've been doing it for years, have natural skill and no sense of fear...  :?

I need to get out there more often and get fitter. OK, fit.

I went paintballing the other day for the first time in over 15 years. My legs are killing me.

I am also thinking of getting an MT350 until my ZL600 is back on the road if I get a job that I am applying for. The commute to work will be much quicker on a bike given the route I would have to go.

Oh and I am 46 and still play with toy soldiers

I bought a quad bike at 47.

At least I didn't buy a 2 seater convertible, that's the only true sign of a mid life crisis.

Or perhaps buying one of these, take a look at the website for a true mid life crisis experience.http://www.mac-motorcycles.com/motor.html
