You can't remove anti roll bars froma vehicle - it is a MOT failure, and removing after a MOT will make the vehicle unfit for highway use.

The MOT testers book says, if an item is fitted it must be tested, if it isnt fitted it cant be tested so cant fail (unless it is a Testible item such as Exhaust, Suspension, Brakes, Steering), but it will be noted down on a VT32 advisory note that it is missing, if it is fitted but not connected (link broken / missing then it is a VT30 Failure Notice, but it is down to the NT to make the decision on if its a VT30 ot VT32

But if you think it's BS, by all means prove me and them wrong!

Certainly, I removed the rear one off my old 110 and never had any MOT issues. I think it is often down to the individual NT as already pointed out. As I said, my manual is a rather old copy so I am perfectly open to being corrected :)Quote from: ben-dent on September 29, 2009, 00:35:12The MOT testers book says, if an item is fitted it must be tested, if it isnt fitted it cant be tested so cant fail (unless it is a Testible item such as Exhaust, Suspension, Brakes, Steering), but it will be noted down on a VT32 advisory note that it is missing, if it is fitted but not connected (link broken / missing then it is a VT30 Failure Notice, but it is down to the NT to make the decision on if its a VT30 ot VT32 Are all Land Rover anti-roll bars optional then? I'm guessing a D3 or the like would be standard fitment? On the basis that the anti-roll bar is listed as a testable item, or at least it was in my old manual, shouldn't fail if not fitted when it was a standard item?
