As usual with expedition and pseudo expedition outfitters (xyz brand roof tents, mobile storage solutions etc) the inflated price is because customers may have a large amount of sponsorship funding to splash out. My thoughts are that a man in the street playing those prices is a)mug b)more money than sense c)deluded that quality justifies overpricing.

 They do work very well in deep sandy places though, Yep not cheap though  :shock:
TD5 with a few Tweaks ;o)
a bit more fuel friendly than the V8

I thought they looked more like the spinal boards that ambulances carry, they've even got the handles on the sides.
