ok seems i may have cv joint failure :(  now i have to order new ones tomorrow so i get them by friday, fit them sat ready for L to B sunday, now it lists two types  23 spline or 32 spline (86 onwards )

now i know mine is a 92 200tdi and should be the 32 spline ones, anyone got any info on this as i can't strip it down before hand to count them, and i can't afford to get the wrong ones :(

I think this is correct:

If its an earlier axle the drive flange is thicker where it bolts to the hub assembly and will be 23 spline and a 10 spline diff.

The later type is thinner where the flange bolts on and will be 32 spline and 24 spline at the diff.

I've got the earlier type axle and the flange is about 3/4 inch thick, 23 cv and 10 diff.

It's a shame you can't strip it down and count them as i would say that would be the best way to be sure...

well i've got it stripped andi've ordered the right ones :)  and as i write this the delivery man's just arrived ! woo hoo :dance:
